Keira Knightley
Knightley was born in London she was she was the child of Will Knightley and Sharman Mcdonald. She obtained her first agent when she was six years old and began working on commercials and television. Knightley played Sabe in a tiny part as a minor character in Star Wars: Episode I: The Phantom Menace (1998). Her breakout moment came as a tomboy footballer in the film Bend It Like Beckham (2002) The film went on to achieve worldwide fame as Elizabeth Swann in the swashbuckler Fantasy series Pirates of the Caribbean, from 2003. She appeared in the romantic comedy Love Actually (2003) and was described as a promising teenage star. As the character she played, Elizabeth Bennet in the period romance Pride & Prejudice (2005), Knightley was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress. Alongside Atonement the film, she also appeared as Georgiana Cavendish who was the popular tastemaker on The Duchess and Anna Karenina's titular socialite. Her involvement in modern dramas, appearing as an aspiring musician In Begin Again (2013) and an Medical student in Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit (2014). Knightley returned to historical films as Joan Clarke in The Imitation Game (2014) and earned her a nomination to The Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress, and starred as the writer whose name is Colette (2018).
